Situated in Edinburgh’s West End, Rendall’s of Edinburgh supplies traditional handmade 100% pure new wool kilts.

By choosing your kilt from Rendall’s of Edinburgh, you can be confident that your kilt will be of the highest quality, individually tailored to your exact requirements.

From the placing of your order to taking delivery of your kilt, you will be dealing personally with the kiltmaker.
This will give you, the customer, the highest level of care and attention to detail which can be hard to find in many High Street kilt retailers, and which is essential when purchasing a quality tailored item.

The kilts...

Each kilt is crafted from 8 yards of pure new Scottish wool. This comes in three different weights of cloth, the heaviest of which is recommended for the formal kilt.

Each pleat is hand-stitched following either the pattern of the tartan (pleated to the sett) or if you prefer, pleated to the dominant stripe of the tartan (regimental).

You can choose to have two or three sets of buckles and straps on the kilt, depending on your preference. 

In addition, the kilt will have two belt loops and a double fringe on the front apron.

The kiltmaker...

Having served a five year apprenticeship with the highly regarded kiltmaker Antonia Campbell of West Lothian, I then went on to supply some of Edinburgh’s best-known stores with kilts, while also providing a personal bespoke service to private customers.

I have now been kiltmaking for over ten years and take great pride in turning out a beautifully tailored kilt, especially when I hear back from satisfied customers.
